Other legal advice We work closely with solicitors who specialise in areas such as conveyancing, divorce law, business law and family law. Our director Rachel Roche is former Secretary to the Yorkshire Sole Practitioners’ Group and meets regularly with a wide range of other solicitors, based in Yorkshire and nationally. If you have a legal problem we’re unable to help you with personally, we’ll know someone with just the expertise you need. If you need us to work in conjunction with other solicitors to achieve your overall aims, we are more than happy to do this. Scottish legal advice If you are moving to or own property in Scotland, you will need advice from a Scottish solicitor. We have an association with a firm of solicitors in Scotland with whom we can work in tandem to ensure your affairs are arranged in the best possible way. Financial advice Though we can’t give you specific financial advice, we are able to offer general investment advice. We can work with you to provide an overall picture of the opportunities that may be open to you, then discuss your financial aims and objectives and how these might best be achieved. Together we can work towards simple tax planning measures, either leaving your current investments as they are or completely restructuring your portfolio. We can do this in partnership with your existing financial advisor, or we can refer you to one of our trusted advisors, all of whom are regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority. Accountancy advice Our solicitors offer a range of trust and tax planning services. If you require more specialist tax or accountancy advice, we can put you in touch with someone who can offer this. We work with a number of knowledgeable and trusted accountants and bookkeepers who will be more than willing to help. Life insurance When you are in the process of planning for your future, you may decide to invest in life insurance. A life insurance policy will pay out a lump sum of money to your estate in the event of your death. Some policies will also pay out if you have a serious accident or receive a terminal diagnosis. The money paid out by the policy can be used by your family to pay off their mortgage or cover general expenses. This type of insurance can be particularly valuable for business owners. If you were to fall ill and were unable to manage your business for a significant period of time, a life insurance policy pay out would provide the funds needed to ensure the survival of the business. If you would like to explore these possibilities further with the assistance of a professional, we can refer you to an insurance professional who will be able to talk you through the options available. Health and dental insurance Many people find that health and dental insurance gives them peace of mind should they or their family fall ill. Quality care without standard waiting times can make a significant difference at what is likely to be a very difficult time. To find out more about the health and dental insurance options that are open to you, please get in touch. We can arrange for a specialist health and dental insurance professional to visit you at home for a no-obligation discussion. Equity release Equity release has seen a resurgence in popularity in recent years. There can be a number of benefits to being able to access the wealth within your property. Perhaps you’d like to carry out home improvements, or reduce the value of your property for inheritance tax after you’re gone. We can put you in touch with a specialist advisor if you’d like to discuss whether equity release is for you. Ready for clear, reliable legal advice?
