We help professional service firms and businesses manage their risks, leading to fewer disputes, and increased profits, this will include, engagement letter reviews and updates, managing scope creep, handling client and regulatory complaints, helping with overcoming issues for PII renewals, and helping with professional risk issues when buying or selling a professional services firm. We also act as ‘fractional risk officers’ to provide an ongoing support to firms at a far lower cost of a full time in house resource. We also provide training on risk issues.

Karen has over 30 years’ experience of defending professional negligence claims against, primarily, solicitors and accountants, so has significant experience of the root causes of claims. She also has significant experience of regulatory issues, and was on council and/or chair of various professional bodies and working parties in relation to issues such as engagement letters/pii and pcrt. She is also Cert IRM as well as author of a well regarded book on risk management. This rare (if not unique) combination of skills means that she is able to combine her practical background with her understanding from the regulatory, risk and legal viewpoints to give a rounded and practical solution.
